Welcome to Super Smash Bros. Board! The fast-paced dice fighting game based on Nintendo's popular series, Super Smash Bros. The game is 100% customizable, 100% free for you to download (materials are up to you) and 100% editable. What does that mean? As long as you can think it and make it in any form you want, you can add it to the game.
Everything is included in the .rar file for you to make the same board, or alter it to fit your needs!

What did you use to make this?
Numerous materials were used, but below is a list of everything if you'd like to make it just like me. Be warned though, it is going to cost a lot of money if you don't have some of the materials or a printer nice enough to print.
Cards/Characters/Box Art: Printed on cardstock paper at a Kinko's. The printers there automatically made the cards slick after they were printed.
Character pieces: The movers were made with small Popsicle sticks you can find at your local hobby store, as well as round pieces of wood I also found there, glued together with wood glue. I used some Mod Podge for the cardstock paper, finishing it off by using regular stick glue and a toothpick to get hard spots. All the wood pieces were painted in acrylic paint before being glued together.
Board: The board is made out of a Monopoly board, with poster paper glued on top with spray adhesive. I would not recommend using a 4 piece folding board, as the poster paper has to be cut and does not do well when bent 4 times. The poster paper was printed at an Office Depot with an oversized printer.
Box: The box is a Monopoly box, spray painted a gloss black color. The pieces on it are glued on via spray adhesive, after being printed on cardstock paper. This was again printed at Kinko's.
Battle coins: The battle coins are created via magnets with sticky adhesive padding already on them, and cardstock prints.
All items used: acrylic paint in numerous colors, black glossy spray paint, Mod Podge, spray adhesive, wood glue, glue stick, circular wood pieces, small popsicle sticks, Monopoly game board and box, cardstock paper, colored pencils, paint brushes, magnets with adhesive. (This does not include the dice which were bought outright).
Is this official?
No. This is a fan-made art project, that encourages gamers/artists to use their own imagination and edit it to their liking. Editable PhotoShop files are included, in order to easily change anything you wish. There are also templates that can be used.
All the characters have the same stats, why make it so based on luck? The only strategy is items!
This is for numerous reasons.
1.This is for balance. As this is a board game, there are limitations to it. In the video games, balance is created by allowing 4 players to all select the same character with different colors- allowing different stats for all 12 characters. But this is real life, and palette swatches aren't as easy. If we had different stats for all 12 characters, we would have to have 48 character pieces for all possible combinations of play. If we didn't and still had different stats, how would you balance when 2 people wanted to play the same character due to stats? This is solved in 2 ways: having 3 sets of stats or having 1 set. As this game is meant to be easy to play for anyone, one set sounds better than creating 3 complicated sets that may not be balanced still.
2. This is also because most board games are based on luck. With a handful of exceptions, most board games require some sort of luck with a bit of strategy. As I tried to copy that, it seemed most logical to keep it simpler than to make it more complex.
3. Smash Bros.- though some may argue- is also based on luck with a bit of strategy. Items raining down randomly from the sky can show up near you and give you a win. The Smash Ball in general has a random trajectory as it moves around the stage. And stages can quickly change on the fly. Sure, you can play with no items on final destination- but this game isn't representing people who choose to do that. It's meant to represent Smash Bros. and luck just happens to be a part of it.

Awesome question, thanks for asking. You can always do something differently, as this game is 100% customizable. You can throw Halo in it and strip it of Nintendo, or throw LittleBigPlanet in. It's not hard to edit, if you know Photoshop. Plus, you can add anyone you want to the game too. Finally want to play as Waluigi? Done!

Yeah, I know. It was worn earlier that day while using spray adhesive for the board. Apparently the camera picked up the spots better than my eyes did.
